LIGHT, the ancient metaphor for the good, for the truth, for creation... "Let a Little Light In" is a song about a small spark of hope. When everything around you is closing in and your mind is quaking with pain unhealed, there is always that heart that is pumping FOR YOU and there is always an opportunity to open it even just a little to let some hope in. It is when things are the darkest that it seems impossible, and asking for some light may seem foolish.
But all the heroes of the world at first did not believe they were chosen, no one is ever ready when fate comes knocking, but opening that door when you aren't sure if you can, is what makes you a hero. To be open to receive love is to be brave and vulnerable, to ASK is to set in motion creation and to ACT on it is to accept your birthright as hand and heart of Spirit. This intentional vulnerability has helped my life in so many ways. This ain't a "love n light, never look at darkness" type of track, this refrain is about facing your darkness head on and when you're in the trenches to remember the heart that is with you, and celebrate.
