Part of a series of songs that will be released as a condensed album "The Original Giver" Summer of 2021.
The Elaborate Divine has woven a tapestry made of the footprints of those who have come before us in the river of time. As the water flows through the river, so does their essence flow to us. Our human family tree is lit with sages and saints that shine lights into the darkness of the quest for meaning. This song gives thanks to them, and all those that made their discoveries possible. All water flows to the sea, just as we all mix in the melting pot of creation. Our lineage is sacred. This music is an offering of invitation for their guidance to blossom within us and reveal our unique path that will serve the same for those further down the river.
lyrics
The ground we walk today
has felt the footsteps of their grace,
the ancestors before us
I see their faces
Their Voice it ripples through
my lungs create a new
surrounded by their hands,
saying we got you.
What is a soul
but a wave
on the ocean
of her face?
I hear the whispers in the wind
in the sunlight’s kiss
the words of the river
Her poetry lives
I see it in the lotus
flowers of Your feet,
footprints in my heart
may they blossom in me
What is a soul
but a wave
on the ocean
of Her face?
What is my love
but a wave
on the ocean
of Her grace?
With your footprints as my guide,
and your whispers as my call,
in Your love I remember,
in Your name I hear it all,
In your waters i will rise
in your waters i will fall
in your love i remember
in your name I hear it all
hear it all,
hear it all,
hear it all,
hear it all,
hear it all
