The album is a cosmology of the soul. It tells the story of creation as it happened and continues to happen. It is as archetypal as it is real. It is as metaphysical as it is physical. It is as personal as it is universal. Art is our tool to create a beautiful world in the likeness of our greatest majesty, and love is the hand that guides the brush, the voice, the pen, or the clay.


The Original Giver is a short album comprised of five songs of acoustic ambient mystical anthems. A follow-up project to his full length album Mauna (2019), this new collection takes on a more ethereal tone with atmospheric synths and cosmic voices. Organic acoustic instruments provide the spine to bright vocals, waves of celestial sounds, and wet tambourines.

Like all of Sedalia’s projects, the album is a story of intertwining tales that all relate to one another. (1) The Original Giver tells of the first breath that sparked the stars and through the voice lit up the void. (2) The Potter tells of the Creatress who made matter tangible and designed the earth by mixing the elements and molding the shapes. (3) Footprints honors the ancestral line of life that gave birth to us from the beginning to now that is always guiding us. (4) O Creator emphatically declares that the creative instinct that called forth the entire world is within us and the act of creation continues through our loving action. (5) Constellations weaves the web that connects it all together, the human family aligned with the sound, the stars, and the creed “the love inside of you is the love inside of me.”






Album Story:


The album is titled and dedicated to The Original Giver, who is the personification of Sound that birthed creation over The Original Quiet. The Original Quiet is the name for the silence that exists below, above, within, and beyond creation. Together The Original Giver and the Original Quiet make up the universe as we know it. We are embedded within it like threads in a fabric, inseparable by principle. The OG and the OQ are the microfibers that give shape to the us, the threads. In addition to the micro, they are the macro, the grand design of the tapestry. The silence and the sound are aspects of the ancient duality of existence. Equally important and equally divine. There is no singer if there is no song. There is no dreamer if there is no dream. The singer and the song are tied to one another for eternity. The album is a sort of representation of creation. All art unconsciously or consciously seeks to harmonize with the song of the First Sound. The album can be broken down into the following by track number
